When Albert Schloeffel and Henry Paul joined forces in April
1904 to establish Schloeffel & Paul Estate Agents in Hurstville,
they could have had no thoughts that from these humble beginnings
would rise one of the strongest, successful and innovative real
estate groups in the southern region of Sydney.
As the city of Hurstville has grown so too has Schloeffel &
Paul. In February 1982, six independent Sydney real estate agents
joined forces to form Nationwide Realty. After just two years
the number of offices in the network in NSW had grown to 62. Within
a few years the network had established franchises in Queensland,
South Australia and Tasmania.
In 1985, Schloeffel & Paul merged with Hurstville Real Estate
and took up the Nationwide Realty franchise to form Schloeffel
& Paul Nationwide Realty.
In 1999, Nationwide Realty merged with the powerful Queensland
based PRD Realty giving the network world-wide contacts and more
than 160 franchises and affiliates across Australia.
Throughout this time the directors and principals of Schloeffel
& Paul and later Nationwide Realty Schloeffel & Paul have
continuously emphasised the need for loyal and professional real
estate practice and have developed a staff dedicated to the same
high levels of service.
Our most senior members have earned an outstanding reputation
in the wider community and have maintained extraordinarily long
careers with Schloeffel & Paul. In an industry notorious for
its 'fly by nighters' the directors of Schloeffel & Paul have
dedicated themselves to the profession and to building a superior
real estate group.
